Quick Facts About Evey Nail Salon

Evey Nail Salon has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses of the salon. Based on the comments provided, we can analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the salon.
Starting with the strengths, one customer expressed their love for the salon, mentioning that they always get what they ask for and have never had a broken nail. This demonstrates the salon's ability to deliver consistent results and meet customer expectations. Additionally, this customer mentioned that their nails last up to 6 weeks, indicating good durability of the services provided.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the efficiency and prompt service. They mentioned being taken in right away for a pedicure without any wait time. This suggests that the salon values customer time and strives to provide quick service.
Furthermore, a long-term customer praised the salon for its professionalism and hard work. The customer has been going to this salon for over 20 years and has always had amazing results. This indicates the salon's ability to build long-term relationships with customers and provide quality service consistently.
In terms of safety during the pandemic, one customer commended the salon for its efforts to ensure health and safety. The salon implemented temperature checks and installed plexiglass barriers, demonstrating their commitment to keeping customers and staff safe.
Moving on to the weaknesses mentioned by customers, several common themes emerge. One major weakness is the lack of cleanliness and hygiene practices. One customer reported that none of the tools were disinfected after being used, and another customer observed that brushes were reused without proper disinfection. This raises concerns about the spread of bacteria and infections, which can severely impact the salon's reputation.
Additionally, a customer mentioned a lack of attention to detail during their manicure experience. The technician did not ask about their preferred nail shape, resulting in a different shape than desired. The customer also noted a lack of additional services such as hand massage, lotion, hot towels, and stones, which are usually expected at a similar price point. This highlights a weakness in the salon's attention to customer preferences and the overall level of service provided.
Unprofessional behavior was also mentioned, with one customer reporting that the nail technician used her phone during the service and took a long time to attend to the customer's needs. This reflects poorly on the salon's customer service and professionalism.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is a potential issue of discrimination or unequal treatment. The customer mentioned that they were not given a full pedicure and were asked to pay extra, and they believed it was due to the color of their skin. If true, this is a significant weakness and raises concerns about inclusivity and fair treatment within the salon.
Overall, Evey Nail Salon has strengths in delivering consistent results, efficiency, professionalism, long-term customer relationships, and safety measures during the pandemic. However, there are notable weaknesses in terms of cleanliness, attention to detail, customer service, and potential discrimination. Addressing these weaknesses and improving these areas could significantly enhance the salon's reputation and customer satisfaction.

I absolutely LOVE this salon! It doesn't matter which tech I get, I always get what I ask for. I have never had a broken nail and they last until my next fill which is often up to 6 weeks! I will never go anywhere else!
I went in on a whim to get a pedicure. I was taken in right away and sat at a pedicure chair. A woman came over and started the water and started to my nails. Nothing was put under a UV light to sterilize it. She used a brush on the top of my feet that she then rinsed off in the water that my feet were soaking in and then the lady next to me used that same brush on her client without disinfecting. None of the tools were disinfected after being used. Will not be returning.
Went to Evey’s nails for a gel manicure due to my usual salon was closed. Since I was going to be in Newton, I decided to test this place out…MISTAKE. Went in with square nails, came out with round. Didn’t ask me about what shape I wanted. Very dirty for the standers my usual salon has set for me. Looked like they reused nail instruments without cleaning them first. I felt like it was rushed and far too expensive for the service. Jackie was very unprofessional and took her phone out while waiting for the timer on the UV light to finish. Only one light for both hands, so she had to keep moving it. She finished painting the second hand with top coat while the timer still had 30+ seconds on my first hand, not a big deal, BUT, when it was done and I sat there waiting for her to get her head of her phone. Sat there with the light off for a good minute on my second hand before she realized the timer had finished and that’s only because I cleared my throat to get her attention. When the manicure was finished she brought me up and told me it was for $35. FOR WHAT?! They took my previous polish off, shaped my nails into a shape I didn’t want, and painted them. Put some type of oil on my nails and told me to go wash my hands. No hand massage, no lotion, no hot towel or stones. All things I’m used to paying the same price for. Anyway, I hand her my card and she’s says “oh, there’s a $45 minimum for cards” I told her this was my first time coming here, I wasn’t aware and didn’t have cash on me. She made it seem like it was going to be ok for this time and that next time I just needed to bring cash (As if there was going to be a next time). Another woman standing at the counter, hopefully not the owner, told me I needed to use the ATM. After a horrible experience I had to give the ATM an extra 3 dollars. Horrible customer service. This is not how you get new customers. DO NOT GO HERE.
I have been going here over twenty years. Lynn does my nails, but I have had them done by everyone, I believe, at one time or another. My nails always look amazing and last a long time. I have brought and referred people here for many years. They treat you like family here! Can't wait to get back and have my nails and toes done. Thank you for your hard work and professionalism.

I came into this facility expecting fair service , I got my nails done jel polish and a pedicure, I did not receive a full pedicure and the wanted me to pay extra 15.00 when the nail tech explained she did not give me a full pedicure, I’m convinced it’s the color of my skin and I will not recommend this facility to anyone of color ... stay far away and spend your money where it’s appreciated. The polish looks old and acrylic tips break within one week.. I would not recommend to my worst enemy . The owner also told me I can go somewhere else when I explained I did not get full service or equal service !!!
They have done an excellent job of planning for health and safety since the pandemic. They take your temperature they have plexiglass separating you from the nail artist and pedicurist and check out when paying. They've done all they can for something that is an indoor service, and besides that I always get consistently great gel fills. They last me a month no problem. I've been going here for a decade at least.
Been using Eveys nails for years and never had a problem . They are always pleasant and nice and do good work.
I have been going to this nail salon for at least 2 years now. Every month for my fill and pedicures May thru November. I have never been unhappy. My daughter has also had great experiences when she goes with me.
