Quick Facts About First Nails
First Nails place is a nail salon that has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one comment highlights that the staff at First Nails place is skilled at what they do. This suggests that they have a level of expertise and are capable of delivering satisfactory results to their customers. Additionally, another comment mentions that the salon offers a wide selection of new polishes and dips, indicating that they stay up to date with the latest trends in the nail industry.
Another strength mentioned is the affordability of First Nails place. One comment specifically states that they are the most affordable option in the area. This can be a major advantage for customers who are looking for quality nail services at a reasonable price.
Furthermore, the salon seems to have good customer service. One customer was pleased with the fact that the staff at First Nails place listened to what they wanted and delivered exactly that. This shows a level of attentiveness and a willingness to meet the customers' expectations.
Moving on to the weaknesses, several comments highlight issues related to cleanliness and hygiene. One customer warns others about the salon not cleaning the pedicure chairs or utensils, and even states that the health department was notified due to their lack of cleanliness. This raises concerns about the salon's adherence to proper sanitation practices, potentially posing a risk to customers' health.
Another comment mentions that the staff rushes through the nail appointments and does not take the time to listen to the customers' preferences or concerns. This lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction can result in disappointing experiences for those seeking specific nail designs or shapes.
In terms of safety, one customer had a negative experience where they were cut multiple times during the nail filing process. The staff did not apologize or acknowledge their mistakes, which raises concerns about the level of care and consideration given to customers' safety and well-being.
Additionally, a few comments touch on the salon's lack of professionalism. One customer mentions being charged full price despite having been cut and experiencing a painful hangnail, without receiving an apology or any form of acknowledgment. Another customer complains about the staff speaking in another language and deciding prices without clarity or transparency, which can make customers feel uncomfortable and taken advantage of.
Lastly, a comment addresses COVID-19 precautions. While the salon does wipe down chairs between customers and has partitions at some nail stations, the comment suggests that additional precautions could be taken, such as properly placing the fans and allowing customers to wait in their cars to minimize exposure. It is worth noting that individuals have different comfort levels regarding COVID-19 safety measures, and the salon's practices may not align with everyone's preferences.
In conclusion, First Nails place has strengths such as skilled staff, affordability, and a good selection of products. However, they also have weaknesses related to cleanliness, rushed service, customer safety, and professionalism. It is important for potential customers to consider these factors when deciding whether to visit this salon.

They lady in the first chair did my nails. She did an awesome job and gave me exactly what I wanted but she cut my cuticle and now I have the worst hangnail of my life and still charged me full price. She did not address cutting my finger even though it was bleeding and I didn't even get an apology. I've never been cut by someone doing my nails before and I'm sure she doesn't do it all the time but now my cuticle is very messed up and I have a super painful hangnail :(
They always do good work. I think they have a good selection of colors and types -dips, gels ect. It depends what you are looking for-if you are looking for a super modern, pristine nail salon-then no. But if you want reliable quality at a good price, with nice staff-then yes. $43 for a full set. And they do what you ask them to do-that’s not easy to find.
If you are not that worried about covid then it’s kind of like a neighborhood dive bar. It’s comforting, always stays the same with just a few mandated tweaks.
If you are worried about the global pandemic then maybe wait or take extra precautions -they do wipe down the chairs between customers. Two of the three nail stations have plastic partitions. The fans that they have you dry your nails with are at face level so that’s unfortunate . You don’t have to make an appointment which is nice. You can wait in your car if they are busy.
I know this is a controversial subject but this is the first thing I did from the “before time” after being vaccinated. Although I still wore a N95 and a mask with a eye shield over it but I’m a nurse and I’ve seen more suffering in the last year than in my previous 25 so I’m not trying to push my views down anyone’s throat. I’m just giving a review for people that are trying to be careful. You do you
For me-If I wasn’t fully vaccinated, I wouldn’t go to any salon. I have added risk factors and so do all the people I take care of. Wearing masks is something I’ve always had to do at work so it doesn’t feel like my Liberty is being infringed upon. And we have always worn different types of masks for different situations in health care so I know they help mitigate risk but life is inherently risky so everyone should have reliable info-not skewed based on someone’s agenda- so they can make their own decisions.
I’m not sure how my review of my manicure turned into this but that’s the world we live in right now. Everything is a statement . Everyone is one a “side”But honestly this review IS about this business-they survived the pandemic and they are trying to keep their customers happy. Which I can imagine is a nightmare in any business right now.. No one made fun of my mask situation and no one said anything to the lady who’s mask never made it over her nose. We were all just happy to be doing something normal in a place where we used to.
