Best TL Reviews

Warning!!!!!! STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. This hotel has a history of infestation of bed bugs and roaches. This hotel does not look like the photos on the website. I would not allow my pets to stay in this nasty place. This hotel needs to be inspected by the Health Department FREQUENTLY. I can see where your staff get their poor customer service skills from. The owner places the blame on your customer for not reporting to staff about having such a filthy place. No one has to tell them they already know this place is not fit to stay for an hour less on a night.
Close this place down and remodel. Customers, the reviews are genuine; do not be fooled by the sugar-coated reviews; more than likely, it is a worker, family member, or the owner giving those great reviews. You have been warned outer towners; You will leave with a few unwanted friends. AKA BUGS.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms need a little update, but I really can't complain. ????
Does nothing but steal your money when you try to speak to someone all you get is a rude person that claims you called and they said something when it's first time calling they have taken money from a out of state friend and doesn't care to get it back claims no manager is on staff on nights or weekends only reason has a star is that's only way can post a review
I'm under my business name.
MOST of these comments with how the management reacted to the issues the Guest experienced are accurate.. I myself, had a encounter with him about my stay in one of the rooms.. He replied that he spoke to no one above him, after I asked to speak with HIS BOSS (He spent a long time arguing with me. Which is why I even asked to speak to someone besides him.) He was very rude and very unprofessional. His customer service is extremely POOR, and he lacks the intelligence of understanding what it means to gain more customers, instead of self ruining his own business by approaching people the way that he does. It's a shame really, I felt as if I was chatting with a child trying to get my point across to him. For many years I enjoyed coming here to stay. But after that night, he made it very unwelcoming to want to consider returning to provide business.
It was clean, accommodating and the beds were comfortable! Exactly as advertised. No breakfast but we were traveling early so no problem there. No elevator so be sure to request the first floor if you can’t make the stairs. The reviews I read made me nervous to book but we had no choice. I’m glad we stayed. Quiet hotel. There were so many poor reviews about the woman at the front desk. I had no problems. I quickly realized she has a dry sense of humor, and was very accommodating and informational. I even got a hug. :)
Absolutely disgusting all around! There were numerous HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARDS!
There were so many issues I don’t even know where to begin. The first night, we were in the handicapped room since it was the only room available. Thankfully we did not need the accessibility provided, if you can even call it that. The shower chair and toilet seat were both broken, mold in the shower, and there was water damage on the ceiling.
We moved to another room for the remainder of our stay since the handicapped room was requested by someone else. The second room had several issues. The air conditioning unit didn’t work, and there was a strong odor of mold and mildew throughout the room. By the second day we couldn’t take the humidity and heat, so we let the staff know about the air conditioning unit and asked to move rooms. Moving rooms was not an option apparently, and the lady at the front desk was rude. She contacted the manager who came and “fixed” it. While the cold air was appreciated during the summer in Mississippi, the carpet was soaking wet. When you mix standing moisture with humidity on carpet, you get mold and mildew, which the entire hotel already reeked of. The shower wall also had a gaping hole in it, so I’m certain that also added to their mold and mildew problem. Then while taking a shower, I found a live roach which I killed. On my last day there I discovered a large dead roach on the floor by the air conditioner.
I should mention a friend and I were in town to attend a funeral. We booked this hotel since it was located close to the funeral home. We would have moved locations but all the other hotels were booked due to a National baseball tournament going on. If other hotels are available, I URGE YOU: PLEASE DON’T STAY HERE!!!
I brought all these issues to the manager’s attention upon checkout, especially the handicapped room issues since it’s a liability for the hotel. Now mind you, if we weren’t in town for a funeral and spending time with family throughout the day, I would have reported all these issues much sooner. We weren’t getting back to the hotel until late in the evening when NO ONE is on staff. He denied everything I said until I let him know I took pictures. I asked to speak with his boss because the conversation was obviously going nowhere. He told me he doesn’t report to anyone. With the lack of an apology, I let him know I would be leaving a negative review. To which he responded, “well I thought you were a good person, but I guess not.” Knowing I had been in town for a funeral that was the LAST thing he should have said to me. It was the final straw, and I was left with no other option than to give an honest review. Again, please look elsewhere. The staff is rude and does not even try to accommodate its guests.
I looked at other peoples’ reviews before posting, and I noticed the hotel responds with, “wrong hotel! Your name is not listed as a guest.” So if you do see that, please know that I most definitely stayed here and it was an awful experience.
This past weekend a friend and I stayed here to attend funeral services nearby. Upon arrival we noticed the room was a little warm and figured it just needed time to cool off. When we returned from the services it was apparent that the ac was broken. When we called the front desk she wasn’t very helpful. It was basically not only our problem, but also our fault for dropping it below 68 & us putting it to 66 froze the unit. No other room was available to live us to. So we unplugged it for a while and plugged it back in and hoped for the best. She let us know that her shift was ending soon and no one would be back until 6am the next day. So therefore, there’s zero security and zero workers there from 10pm-6am. If anything happens you’re on your own.
The next day we were able to contact management and the whole ac needed to be replaced. After being left with no ac for 2 days in the Mississippi heat we received no discount or refund. On top of that, the manager insulted my friend for even asking if there was anything they could do. Completely dissatisfied with this whole experience. Customer service is not their forte. I recommend staying anywhere else.
The only reason they got a one star is due to their rooms being accessed from the inside. Room stunk, no elevator, all stars, and mainly the staff was rude AF. Stayed for three nights, running from the hurricane. Figured the check in person would be happy to have the business... Boy was I wrong. Don't expect them to provide towels on a daily basis. And of course we got a scalding when asking for towels.... Would dodge this place.....help other local businesses that appreciate the customers...
