really wonderful experience. all three ladies in the shop were so nice, professional, and helpful with choosing my style. they listened to what i wanted and exceeded above and beyond. they were able to see me early and was done in no time! i have a lot of hair, so i fully was expecting to be in the shop all day, but was proved wrong when the two hour mark hit and they were done. i will absolutely be coming back and will be continuing services here from now on!
I have been going to this shop for awhile now and every time they disappoint me. Every time you make an appointment with them they are late which is unacceptable but excusable. However today was the last straw my stylist was late and then in the middle of doing my hair she left for an hour and did not tell me where she was going. I called around to see if any other hair braiders could finish but they could not. Then on top of the unprofessionalism my hair style was not how I wanted it to be. I showed them a picture of the style I wanted they said they could do it however the style turned out much shorter and thinner.
First of all, I had to pick my beautician (Monique's daughter-in-law) up from home because she left before I got there. Shortly after she started on my hair her husband showed up and asked did she let me know she was hungry. I said no she did not let me know she was hungry. She left again for lunch. When she came back she had her son with her and he ran around terrorizing the place. Not long after that, she received a phone call and said she needed to go get her daughter from school. She left again. She came back with her daughter and son, started on my hair again. The son was asleep which was great but when he woke up he started terrorizing the place and the daughter. Then she asked me for $20 to get them something to eat from next door. I asked her how much did I owe her. I paid her and she went to get food. When she came back she was eating greasy chicken wings while doing my hair, yelling with her kids and looking at TV on her phone. After 12 hours she then takes Febreze air freshener and spray it across the back of my head. When I told her it was air freshener she acted as though she didn't know that and said that the American girl in there uses it on her clients. Which I don't believe. My scalp is irritated, burning and has these sores all throughout. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL SHE TOUCH MY HAIR!!!!!! I need a refund!!!!
I basically did a walk-in at 12pm today and showed her a pic and she said sit down. I was finished and out the door b4 8pm and I love everything about my hair and experience at the shop… We’ll worth the price… I will be back. Down below is a pic of what I asked for and the rest are of what I got….. Y’all know she did that….????????????????????????????
My daughter and I have been coming to Monique for a few years now. Everyone is always friendly and I’m always satisfied with me and my daughter hair! Great braiders are hair. Also, there is a young lady who fixes hair in the shop that does styles, sew in, wigs, etc.
My Experience at Monique's Blessing African Hair Braiding was Awesome. I needed someone to braid my hair in a Pixie Or Bob and she was The Only One that said Yes. She was very Punctual, Very Nice, Professional and Also very fast. I would Recommend Her Services to Anyone. She did exactly what I wanted and it was Definitely worth the time and I was very Happy with her Work. Thank you for Being a Blessing to me. I will Definitely be Returning soon. God Bless You.
I brought my own hair, owner said she only give a discount if you bring black colored hair. If you bring any other color you still pay full price. When I complained about the way the stylist braided my hair it was not the style I ask for. I asked for knotless braids and I showed a picture- the girl that braided my hair did not know how to do the style. The owner said she thought it looked great and black people do not know how to do this style so I am used to getting it done the wrong way, it was an overall up professional experience. 10 hours of my time. The little babies ran all over so the stylist had to stop doing hair to keep their children in line. Also the girl that did my hair talked in her language on the phone for hours while braiding. It was aweful
I’ve been coming here since 2012 and I have never been disappointed.. The owner Monique makes sure that I am well taken care of whether she is doing my hair or not. Pleasant demeanor and clean environment. They are reliable and flexible with their. They will make it work for you. If you ever feel like you didn’t get what you wanted they are more than willing to fix it. If you call for appointment ask to speak to Monique. She’ll take good care of you
