I’ve been going to Nail Care for just over a year. I usually get an acrylic set with gel polish every two-three weeks. I never experience lifting or broken nails. Liyah is my girl, and she always gets me right. I have had other techs before though. Ambrosia, Vivian, her husband and daughters, and Tonya have all done my nails before, and they’re all amazing. No matter how busy they are, they make sure each customer gets their money’s worth. They really get to know their regulars.
Been here 3 times. I must say I was very patient. I didn't expect to come in around 10:"45 am and leave at 1:37 pm. Tech had issues with her fan and I knew there was gonna be an issue. ...
Ok so first the fan wasn't drying there for the gel they apply to harden the nails was not drying correctly and was very bendy. They didn't dry completely and I told the tech this. But them being professionals I trusted they would get hard after I left or hell over the weekend. The nails were still flimsy and bendandle so I was very careful. The tech had to reapply the nail gel hardener. Then hours later i am noticing humps in the nail under the paint I can't explain with words (Pictures coming) So tonight I am doing laundry and I notice one of the damn nails has a split and is about to break off. I am very careful doing laundry and what not. I look down at my hand and the damn nail BROKE OFF!! I paid $72 plus left the tech a $9 tip, I am very disappointed and will be going back monday to get these redone. I was not ready to sit in that chair another 2 hours more.
I'm editing my 5 star review from last year, only because not everyone at this place is friendly. I saw a lot of recommendationsfor Martha, but she did mine, and she wasn't friendly or personable at all. She did a fine job, but I wouldn't go there again. I will leave my previous review as it originally appeared. I'll add the pictures from this time, where I got an overlay of acrylic, sans tips.
.....I have only ever had mediocre to terrible experiences at nail salons, but nail care at Northgate Mall is AMAZING! The guy was so nice and talkative. They also accepted my appointment at the last hour, and instead of rushing me out the door so he could close on time, he made me sit for extra nail drying time so they wouldn't get messed up. If you want to get your nails done in durham, this is the only place to go!!
I love this nail salon, the last time I went there, I got this beautiful acrylic set. If I had to rate this establishment, 10/10 would recommend. The nails stay on and don't pop off.

I will only get my nails done at nail care!!! Every time I bring an idea they will go out of their way to recreate it!! I brag about my tech to everyone! Asia is my girl but all of their techs are elite and give the best quality and professionalism!! I Love it here ????????
Never been disappointed....PERIOD. The quailty of all the nail services I've received have been surperb. I must add, the pictures are of gel polish on my natural nails!
I typically don’t write poor reviews of businesses, but felt the need to. I attempted to get a walk-in for a manicure and pedicure. Naturally, I expected a wait, but it was requested that I come back in an hour. I informed the manager that I would return if I didn’t have the services performed elsewhere.
I returned an hour and a half later and another young lady told me that the manager didn’t know if I was coming back so she booked someone else. She could give me a card and I could call back.
Naturally, I didn’t expect to jump directly in a chair either instance. But I did expect to return for service. Needless to say I will not be patronizing this business.
