Quick Facts About Nargis Kenyan Restaurant

Nargis Kenyan Restaurant has received a range of comments, both positive and negative, which provide insights into its strengths and weaknesses. In analyzing these comments, we can identify several key strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant.
One of the major strengths of Nargis Kenyan Restaurant is the quality of its lamb chops, which were described as some of the best ever eaten. This indicates that the restaurant excels in preparing and cooking lamb. The staff were also praised for their friendliness, which contributes to a positive dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant was considered to offer excellent value for money, with reasonable prices. This suggests that customers perceive Nargis Kenyan Restaurant as a place where they can get high-quality food at affordable prices. Finally, the restaurant has loyal customers who have been visiting for years, indicating a level of consistency in their offerings.
However, Nargis Kenyan Restaurant also has areas for improvement. In one comment, a customer expressed disappointment with the food, mentioning that the nyama choma was hard and that extra charges were applied for ugali and kachumbari that should have been included. This suggests a lack of consistency in food quality and potential issues with accurate menu descriptions. Additionally, the prices were considered high by some customers, indicating that there may be a disconnect between perceived value and actual cost. The chicken tikka was also criticized, suggesting that not all dishes on the menu are of consistent quality.
Despite these weaknesses, several positive aspects of the restaurant can counterbalance the negative feedback. The samosas were praised as some of the best ever tasted, which indicates a specialty or standout item for Nargis Kenyan Restaurant. This, alongside other delicious menu items, suggests that the restaurant has a variety of dishes that are enjoyed by customers. In addition, the boneless chicken and lamb pieces were described as melt-in-your-mouth and paired well with accompaniments like naan bread and coconut chutney. This demonstrates the restaurant's ability to create flavorful and satisfying dishes. The mango lassi was also mentioned as a highlight, further emphasizing that Nargis Kenyan Restaurant offers a diverse range of tasty beverages.
Another strength mentioned by customers is the service provided by the staff, with descriptions of polite and friendly people. This indicates that the restaurant prioritizes customer satisfaction and provides a welcoming atmosphere. However, one comment pointed out confusion over the authenticity of the cuisine, questioning whether a Kenyan restaurant should be Asian-owned. This raises concerns about the perception of authenticity and the potential impact on the overall dining experience.
Aside from the food and service, the restaurant's physical space was also subject to criticism. The decor was described as dated and in urgent need of a facelift. This indicates that the restaurant could benefit from updating its interior to create a more appealing ambiance for customers.
Furthermore, the limited parking options can be seen as a disadvantage, as some customers mentioned difficulties finding a space nearby. This may hinder the ease of access and potentially discourage potential diners who prioritize convenience.
In conclusion, Nargis Kenyan Restaurant has strengths in the quality of certain dishes, friendly staff, and perceived value for money. However, there are areas for improvement such as food consistency, pricing concerns, decor updates, and parking limitations. By addressing these weaknesses, Nargis Kenyan Restaurant can continue to build on its strengths and provide a more compelling dining experience for its customers.

This restaurant is incredible! Lamb chops are some of the best I've ever eaten. Staff were friendly and prices make this restaurant excellent value. Would definitely visit again.
Very disappointed with the food. Nyama choma was very hard and was charged extra for ugali and kachumbari which should have been part of the meal. Prices are high. Chicken tikka wasn't that good too. Mandazi and tea were nice. Other dishes were ok. Not worth the price
We have been coming for years and will continue to do so. This place has the best samosas ever! On the same level of greatness as my Auntie and that is no easy feat.
Their specialities are the boneless chicken and lamb pieces . Melt in your mouth soft from the tandoor, delicious wrapped in the fluffy naan breads and paired with the sensational coconut chutney and masala Mogo chips. Mmmmm. Wash it all down with one of the mango lassis . . And you will enter food heaven. To be honest everything is delicious on the menu.
You cannot beat Nargis. Nothing here is comparable to any other restaurant that serves East African cuisine.
The welcome, the service and the taste is just too good.
Very good service and polite people . The only issue is that I thought Kenyan means black African not Asian . The food is not Authentic African food so forget that African taste you won't get it from this Asian shop .
nice little resrurant, staff and owner is great and resturant is clean. Also there vegie somosas and pokoray and masala chips was nice and also Masala tea. I didn't really like keebabs and chicken found it bit hard wasnt tender. Also there falooda is good and paans.
Unfortunatly parking was an issue if you lucky you can park right outside few spaces.
One of the best mixed grills I've eaten to date! The special faluda was the best I've tried since my childhood in kenya! Superb host but the small restaurant can get a very busy on the weekends.
Nargis Kapuri Pan has been around for a long time in Southall.
It’s essentially an African inspired eatery that does a number of Kenyan dishes.
The decor’s a little dated and in urgent need of a facelift.
But, as the name indicates, they have a huge selection of pan fillings to choose from following the meal.
It’s certainly apart from the rest of the Indian and Pakistani cuisines dominating this area. So if you’re looking for something different then this might be the place.
Indian/Pakistani cuisine has to either be top-notch or unique to catch our lofty attention. Nargis Kapuri Pan was the latter - unique in terms of flavour.
If you seasoned Indo/Pak restaurateurs want something different from the run-of-the-mill, might wanna try this one.
HEALTH WARNING: Avoid the seats at the far end of the joint (under the TV). Too narrow; only supported half my backside.
And as always, tear our incredibly accurate and astute opinions to shreds
