Quick Facts About Reaction Beauty Salon

Strengths:
1. Skillful stylists: Many commenters praise the job done by the stylists at Reaction Beauty Salon. They trust the salon for their haircuts and coloring, and have never been disappointed with the service provided.
2. Friendly and informative: The salon staff is described as friendly and willing to answer any concerns or questions. They also take the time to explain the process and products being used on the customer's hair.
3. Consistency: One commenter highlights that the salon consistently delivers good work, which is why they keep coming back. This indicates a level of reliability and quality in their services.
4. Reasonable prices: It is mentioned that the wash and set service is offered at a reasonable price, which suggests that the salon provides value for money.
Weaknesses:
1. Long waiting times: Several comments express frustration with the waiting times at the salon. One customer mentions waiting for 45 minutes, while another claims to have waited from 12 PM to 4 PM to get their hair blown out. This indicates a lack of efficiency and a disregard for customer's time.
2. Lack of professionalism: The comment referring to unprofessional behavior suggests that the salon may not prioritize customer satisfaction. The staff's focus on conversing with each other rather than attending to the customer's hair is also seen as a drawback.
3. Inconsistent service: While some customers have positive experiences, others are dissatisfied with their haircuts. One commenter mentions an uneven and choppy cut, indicating a lack of attention to detail or skill from the stylist.
4. Language barrier: A commenter raises the issue of the salon predominantly speaking Spanish, which may make it difficult for non-Spanish speaking customers to communicate effectively. This could create an impersonal experience for those who do not understand or speak the language.
5. Inappropriate behavior: There is a comment about a disruptive incident where a person came into the salon trying to sell syringes, leading to a scared customer leaving. This suggests a lack of security or the ability to handle unexpected situations.
6. Pricing discrepancies: One customer reports that their friend, who is African American, was overcharged for a service compared to the regular price. This raises concerns about fairness and potential racial bias in the pricing practices of the salon.

Best TL Reviews

I don't get a wash and set for 40 anymore because I still have to get blown out after. Wash and blow for 50, I bring my own deep condition I get a trim every 2nd or 3rd visit, depending on how I have taken care of my hair in between time. I have a favorite stylist but I won't share her name because I already have to wait long enough. Overall they are all good though. I want to get my hair colored in one of my next visits but I'm a little nervous. My only complaint is that for all the heat required, I wish they would oil or grease the scalp after.
I usually don’t write bad reviews, but whatever bad reviews is written here is true. I went to get my hair done and one of the lady told me I have to wait. I said okay and asked how long it will be she said she couldn’t tell me and I said okay. I asked if I’m next and she laughed at me and pointed to 2-3 people waiting. She could have said that when I asked her how long, but she didn’t and she was rude about it. She had such an attitude when I was asking her. I wasn’t in any rush or anything. I waited for about 45 minutes and some guys came in trying to sell stuff in the salon then cut to one of the worker yelling at the guy because he pulled out a bunch of syringes. I got so scared I left.
The cut was very choppy and uneven. The lady was nice but I won't come back. They pay more attention to conversing with each other than your hair.
The Job these ladies do is amazing. This is the only place i trust with my hair cuts and coloring. I have never had an issue with any service. I love that they explain step by step what they are doing and what kind of products they are using for your hair. Everyone is very friendly, answers any concerns you have. In my experiences here i have never left disappointed. Highly recommended.
If you need your hair done, not a stylist, then this is the place to go. Can it be impersonal? Yes. Do they predominantly speak Spanish? Yes. But do they get the job done, and have you looking fabulous? Hell Yes!
And that's why I keep coming back. Cause its consistently good work.
This hair salon really has no sense of time. They move unprofessionally and make it seem like you came to get your hair done so you have to wait on them all day. It’s no reason I came to get my hair done at 12 and still didn’t get it blown out until 4PM. When I expressed I had somewhere to go the hairstylist had little to no care so this will be the first and last time they will receive my money for great service DONT go here !
Great wash and set service at a reasonable price. It’s a Dominican salon. I sent my AA friend here and they overcharged her $20 for a wash and set that is usually $40. Very unfair of them to take advantage of a customer like that. The services are good for natural hair (no heat or chemical damage) but it’s very upsetting to hear my friend was overcharged
Rude and racist don’t come here there nice to you if your Spanish
