Quick Facts About Tal Nails
Tal Nails Place has received a mix of positive and negative comments, which shed light on the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment. Below is an analysis of these comments:
Strengths:
1. Friendly and Accommodating Staff: One customer praised the staff for being friendly and courteous. They appreciated the fact that the staff confirmed their choices and provided estimates, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction. This indicates that the staff at Tal Nails Place are attentive to the needs and preferences of their customers, creating a positive experience.
2. Clean and Updated Facilities: Several reviewers mentioned that the salon appeared clean and well-maintained. They appreciated the absence of overwhelming smells commonly associated with acrylic and polish. Additionally, the clear separators between seats and the presence of sanitizers show that the salon takes Covid-19 precautions seriously, ensuring the safety and well-being of their customers.
3. Product Selection: One customer mentioned that the salon offers a wide range of beauty products, enamels, gels, dip colors, and specialty decorations. This indicates that Tal Nails Place caters to varied preferences and provides options for customers to personalize their nail treatments.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent Service: Several reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with their experiences at Tal Nails Place. One customer complained of a horrible experience where their daughters' nails were ripped off, and another stated that their nail broke within a week. Another customer mentioned that the service they received was not what they had requested, with no soaking, cuticle care, or massage provided during their gel manicure. These comments suggest that the salon may have issues with delivering consistent and satisfactory services.
2. Unprofessionalism: One customer mentioned their disappointment with the eyebrow service, specifically highlighting the unprofessional behavior of the new eyebrow lady. They claimed that the technician was half-asleep, rushing, and applied excessive amounts of grease or oil on their eyebrows. Furthermore, the customer woke up the next day to find bruising and swelling around their eye, indicating poor technique or hot wax. This raises concerns about the professionalism and quality of service provided at Tal Nails Place.
3. Long Wait Times and Appointment Issues: One customer complained about having to wait for an extended period despite making an appointment. They were informed that only two technicians were available for Dipping Powder nails, leading to a wait time of 30 minutes, which eventually extended to an hour. This highlights a scheduling issue at the salon, potentially causing frustration and inconvenience for customers.
4. Lack of Skill and Training: Multiple customers mentioned receiving subpar services, indicating a lack of skill and training among some technicians at Tal Nails Place. This is evident in complaints about nails being ripped off, poor technique during eyebrow services, and improper application of gel polish. These incidents demonstrate a lack of attention to detail and a failure to meet customer expectations.
Based on these comments, Tal Nails Place has strengths in terms of friendly staff, cleanliness, and product selection. However, the salon suffers from weaknesses related to inconsistent service, unprofessionalism, long wait times, and a lack of skill and training among some technicians. It is important for the salon to address these issues to improve customer satisfaction and retain a positive reputation.

Horrible experience, I took my daughters one to get nails off and other to get a nail fixed. She ripped both of mt daughters nails off and took my 15 year daughter real nail off. Still charged me after hurting my daughter. Never again will I use the services. Sorry as heck place!
Horrible service. My finger nail has a fungus and also when I went to get my nails done the man got up about 100 times. Will never go back.
I’ve been going to this shop for about year or so now to get my eyebrows waxed. The eyebrow lady they had before the one that’s there now was so much better. When I went on 6/14/22 to get them done.. I was told to go back to the room and there she was, the new eyebrow lady laying in the dark half asleep, and I believe that is highly unprofessional. She was rushing and once she showed me: I couldn’t tell if they were good or not because of the excessive amount of grease or oil she put on my eyebrows so I will admit that I did say “Yes” when she said “Are they fine?” However, the next day when I woke up I noticed how my whole left side of my eye was bruised and swole from how hot the wax was. In my opinion, she needs to be taught a little more.
I made an appointment about 4 days prior, but they accept walk ins. I couldn't find pricing initially and called in to ask they were super friendly from the start. I was offered a drink, they confirmed my nail color choices and nail art preference multiple times for confirmation, and provided estimates and pricing as adjustments were made like if I chose nail art versus just a regular mani etc. Much appreciated that as some salons wait till the end and do not warn you of any price increases until its too late. Atmosphere: I had an appointment for the morning so it was quite, sort of empty which was fine by me and did not have the strong acrylic and polish overwheling scents other salons have. Their seating and open areas were very clean looking and seemed updated. Covid precautions: They had clear seperators set up between seats for pedicure stations and between yourself and the technicians at the manicure stations. They also had sanitizers throughout different areas. I did not witness sanitation other than change of bags and materials at pedicure station so cannot attest to that. They also had a mask requirement. Price: prior to tip my total was $70 for gel manicure (including nail art add ons $5) & regular pedicure. Customer service: I had two different technicians and both were amazing, accomodating, and courteous. I was also surprised when they gave me a holiday mini goodie bag on my way out and wished me a Merry Christmas! Truly a wonderful experience my first time coming in and I will definitely be returning!
My nails are horrible and one broke in one week .
This was my first Nail shop in Tallahassee. I called in and made an appt but upon arrival there were several people waiting and they were not staffed to deal with appointments. I waited 20 minutes, then the guy started on my nails, after me stating that I wanted a gel manicure, he was taking off polish and only reapplying gel polish which is NOT what I asked for. There was no soaking, cuticle care, or massage. It was the WORSE experience I have ever had and the shop was not well kept at all. I will never go back.
Cathy, Linda and everyone are so nice. They do excellent work! The salon is very clean and does a good job of protecting both customers' and salon workers' health! They carry a variety of beauty products, a large selection of enamels, gels, dip colors, and specialty decorations. Loved the experience!
The worst experience ever. First off, I made an appointment for 12 noon, only to be told by one of the nail technicians that there was only two of them that do Dipping Powder nails and it would a 30 minute wait. It turned into an hour wait. So, I left and went to another nail salon. Not a good way to impress me. I won't be returning. Very disappointed.
