Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the inconsistency in pricing and the lack of transparency. This indicates a lack of respect for customers' time and raises concerns about the efficiency of the salon's operations.
In conclusion, while Touba African Hair Braiding Place has received both positive and negative comments, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed. The establishment should work on improving professionalism, customer service, pricing transparency, and overall cleanliness. Efforts should also be made to ensure that the braiders are properly trained and skilled to meet customer expectations. Best TL Reviews
I do not recommend this establishment to anyone if you looking for professional African hair braiding this is not your spot. I should have paid attention to the red flags ???? in the beginning. Amina quotes you one price and then it changes to something else. Secondly her work is very very poor did not cut the excess hair off the braids some braids are longer than others it was a waste of money and time. All Amina is concerned about is money two braids in she wanted to be paid and after telling her I did not have the money on cashapp it was in cash was when the attitude started. Im telling you in advance this is not the shop to go too for your needs. Unless you on that type of time. The owner or whoever she was her energy was totally off and it explains why it’s tax time and you could hear cotton hitting the floor in the shop. Nobody has to be treated that way let alone spend their hard earned money with unprofessional services. I am big on reviews and want the world to know the experience I encountered while dealing with this establishment. She needs to do better!
They were VERY RUDE and unprofessional!! She kept moving my daughter hand very firmly and my Daughter said she was very rough with her then after I confronted her abt the situation she refused to do my other Daughters hair ! I
Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone civilized customer service is TERRIBLE! I never leave reviews but they definitely deserved this take your money else were if your looking for your money’s worth
From Africana to Nordic Viking - women or men, the Queens of Touba are gifted and talented - Bravissima! Clean, caring, fun and amazingly beautiful.
Many compliments Jasmine does me right all the time!
I feel like I was over charged due to the fact that I only have a mohawk and shaved sides. She charged me $155 for kinky twist and I had to buy my own hair! I've never paid that much for my hair, not even box braids. They did do a beautiful job on my daughters knotless braids, no complaints there. They do beautiful work from what I seen while I was there!
Entering the building you walk into a very unclean environment. There are no certificates on the wall. This place has been here for years and still looks the same. The visual is not impressive at all. And I'll be honest I went there a few years back and I was very satisfied but things have definitely changed and not for the better...When you make an appointment, you don't know who is doing your hair and for all you do know it could be a friend or someone who is just learning to braid in your head. A young lady did my hair. My hair was already washed and conditioned. I don't have a bad grade of hair but it is natural. She looked at my hair and says I'm going to have to blow it out. I did not want her to apply heat to my hair but thinking that she knew what she was doing I allowed. As she blow drys my hair she is pulling my hair so hard. And at one point it tangles, so how does hair tangle when you're combing and blow drying? She had no sense of care as she combed my hair. Some of these ladies ate not licensed or professional and know nothing about caring for hair. They are only interested in your money. I showed her a simple picture of the style that I wanted and when she was done it didn't even look close to the picture. I was told that they can't always match the picture and though that may be true they should at least make an attempt or tell you up front that they can't do it before they take your money. I could be wrong but it seems to me that they want to do your hair the way they want to or whatever way is easy for them. But if I'm paying you well over a $100 you should do my hair they way that I want it done. They are very very unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to come here. They will snatch you bald...do your hair how they want it done and take your money. I had to return to the shop because I hadn't had the braids in my head 24 hrs and the ends were coming loose. They did braid the hair but offered no Apology but took up for the persons that did a piss poor job...smh
Worst experience!!!if I could give zero stars that’s what I would give this shop. Owner Jasmine is disgustingly rude. Shop smelled like mildew. Roaches and baby roaches everywhere climbing the walls. And comb sanitation is not there. I asked her to use my comb that I carried in my purse. And then she got mad. And insulted me in here native language to the other workers who were laughing at me. The braided was pulling my edges so bad that I had to tell her to stop. I ended up paying part of the money due and part of my hair done. Just had to leave could not sit there and be mistreated and disrespected.Beware of this place DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!. If you are reading this the owner is in denial she will say it is not her shop , it is.
My daughter went to get her hair braided made an appointment 4 days prior for 230pm. She got there at 219pm, they didn't start on her head until 710pm.???????? That was very unprofessional, they never apologized and they still charged her the entire price after making her wait 5 hours!!????????
