Quick Facts About Waikapu On 30

Waikapu On 30 is a restaurant in Maui that offers authentic local Hawaiian cuisine. The comments above highlight some of the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
One of the main strengths of Waikapu On 30 is the quality of its food. Many comments mention the deliciousness of the dishes, such as the pork laulau, wood fire cooked Kalbi, BBQ chicken plate lunch, beef ribs, and chili moco bowl. Several reviewers even state that the food is some of the best they have had, with one person noting that they used to work at a Hawaiian restaurant and still found the pork laulau to be outstanding. This consistent praise for the taste and quality of the food is a significant strength of Waikapu On 30.
Another strength of the restaurant is the friendly and accommodating service. Reviewers mention the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to answer questions and provide recommendations. One person even describes the service as the friendliest they have encountered. This positive customer service experience contributes to the overall enjoyment of dining at Waikapu On 30.
The location of the restaurant is also mentioned as a strength. Reviewers note that there is a beautiful scene and a great view of the valley when eating at the picnic tables. This adds to the overall dining experience and creates a pleasant atmosphere for customers.
Additionally, the portion sizes are highlighted as a strength. Several comments mention that Waikapu On 30 gives a lot of food for what you pay, with one person specifically mentioning the huge portion of the chili moco bowl and pork laulau plate. This is a positive aspect for customers who value generous portion sizes.
However, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One reviewer notes that the picnic tables outside can be very windy, which may not be ideal for some customers. Another weakness is that the restaurant is not very wheelchair-friendly. This may limit accessibility for certain individuals.
Furthermore, one comment mentions that the food was fine but typical, indicating that there may be a lack of unique or standout dishes. Additionally, one person mentions that their salad was missing an item, suggesting a potential inconsistency in the preparation or attention to detail.
In conclusion, Waikapu On 30's strengths lie in the delicious and authentic Hawaiian cuisine, friendly service, pleasing location, and generous portion sizes. However, there are a few weaknesses, such as windy outdoor seating, limited wheelchair accessibility, potentially typical dishes, and occasional lapses in attention to detail. Overall, the positives seem to outweigh the negatives, making Waikapu On 30 a highly recommended dining option in Maui.

I came across this place when I went zipline and the guy recommended it, he wasn’t wrong I’m in loved with the pork Laulau amazing!!!!!
As always, delicious wood fire cooked Kalbi and bbq chicken plate lunch with rice, corn and kimchee! Beautiful scene eating at the picnic tables.
Excellent Aloha Friday!
This is the one place I would visit again in Maui. It's as authentic as it can get and it's what I expect when I eat at an island far away from the mainland. Their pork lau lau is definitely one of the best one I've had, and I used to work at a Hawaiian restaurant.
True local Hawaiian grindz. Chicken rice mac salad, beef ribs... all prepared right in front of us. Fantastic
Came here after zip lining. Great local food and the friendliest service. The coconut ginger rice with the plates is so tasty and the hamburger was a good too. Great view of the valley to eat as well!
Best choice for lunch before we left Maui. It was on our way to the airport. We ordered a chili moco bowl and pork lau lau plate - both were huge portion! Pork lau lau was tender and chili was flavourful. Love them!
As residents on Kihei, we make it a point to get out and support our local community. Waikapu on 30 is one of our faves. Great local company and amazing food. We are working our way through their menu. The Chili Moco and the Saimin are just a few of the ono grinds we love here. Please check them out.
They give a lot of food for what you buy! If you want to eat at the picnic tables that are right outside, it IS very windy though. The place isn't very wheel chair friendly though at all. Food was fine, typical. Yummy. The salad was missing an item though.
