Quick Facts About Lake Street Park
The Lake Street Park place has several strengths that make it an attractive location for visitors. Firstly, the park offers a beautiful lakeside view of the Orlando Temple, providing visitors with a serene and peaceful environment to enjoy. The proximity of the park to Central Park, only 0.2 miles away, allows visitors to easily access additional recreational amenities and activities.
The park also offers a trail that runs through it, making it ideal for those who enjoy walking or hiking. This hidden little park is nestled between two lakefront houses, providing a unique and picturesque setting for visitors to enjoy. The clear alligator-free water, pier, and beach further enhance the appeal of the park, providing opportunities for swimming, fishing, or simply enjoying the waterfront.
Another strength of Lake Street Park place is its dog-friendly policy. Visitors are allowed to bring their dogs, which is a positive aspect for pet owners who want to enjoy outdoor activities with their four-legged companions. However, it is important for dog owners to note that they need to bring their own bags to clean up their pets' waste.
The park's proximity to downtown area is also a strength, as it allows visitors to easily access a variety of amenities, such as restaurants, shops, and other attractions. Being close to downtown makes it convenient for both residents and tourists to visit the park and enjoy its offerings.
Despite these strengths, there are also some weaknesses associated with Lake Street Park place that need to be addressed. One of the major weaknesses is the lack of disability access to public easements. According to a comment, it is against the law to deny disability access, but the park currently lacks a designated handicap parking space. This is a significant oversight that should be rectified in order to ensure equal access for all visitors.
Additionally, the comment about neighbors turning their "yappie" dogs out when visitors walk the easement raises concerns about the behavior of some local residents. It is important for the park management to address this issue and ensure that visitors feel welcome and safe during their visit.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the lack of facilities such as drinking fountains and restrooms. While these amenities may not be essential for all visitors, they can significantly enhance the overall experience of park visitors, especially those who plan to spend an extended period of time at the park.
Furthermore, a comment mentioning a negative experience related to race highlights a concerning issue of racial discrimination. It is imperative that the park management and local authorities take this matter seriously and ensure that the park remains an inclusive and welcoming space for people of all races and backgrounds.
In conclusion, Lake Street Park place has several strengths that make it an attractive destination for visitors. The beautiful lake view, proximity to Central Park, and dog-friendly policy are some of the key strengths of the park. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as the lack of disability access, inadequate facilities, and concerns related to the behavior of some residents. It is important for the park management and local authorities to address these weaknesses in order to create a more inclusive and enjoyable experience for all park visitors.

Orlando Temple lakeside view. Park 0.2 mile away at Central Park. Enjoy the water's edge, the reverence, walk the easement, picnic, and enjoy the park. Temple view and swing bench. Neighbors turn their yappie dogs out when you walk the easement.
It is against the law to deny disability access to public easements. All signs posted at the Lakeside Street Park are "No Parking". There is no handicap parking space.
Amei esse passeio. A vista do lago é muito linda
The place was great and quiet. I was the only car here. I was enjoying the peace and quiet until another car showed up with loud music. Left the engine running ruining the tranquility of the lake. My suggestion is put a sign to turn down music and shut off vehicle to allow others to enjoy the peace and quiet
Hidden little Park with a trail, right between two lakefront houses
It’s beautiful, however when me and my son went to look at the water , someone who lives across the street glared at us when we got out of the car. I continued to take pictures of the views, then before I knew it, the police were there! So , you can’t be a person of color and be at a park, apparently..
Clear alligator-free water. Pier, and beach. Dog friendly, but you have to bring your own bag to clean up their poop. No drinking fountains or restrooms. Would be nice if a station was provided to deal with dog waste. Close to downtown.
C'est très beau, et très reposant.
