While some customers have praised their exceptional service, skillful stylist, and great results, others have experienced inconsistent outcomes, poor communication, and damaged hair. It is essential for the salon to address the weaknesses identified by customers and strive for consistent, high-quality service to maintain a positive reputation.

I went in for blonde balayage. I sent them a photo of a women with dark roots and blonde hair with dimension. They bleached my whole head and put red brown. And when I said this isn’t blonde the whole staff said no it is. The next day I realize how they gaslighted me. If this is blonde what is brown and what is brown red? Please someone tell me: even ray charles can see the mess they did
Este lugar se merece 100 estrellas la mejor atención hicieron mi color pink y mi cabello lo cuidaron muy bien ya no vivo en new York pero en cuanto pueda voy de nuevo si Dios permite gracias Henry ????????????????
I asked Henry for a brown balayage with layers and styled waterfall curls. I was charged $800 for this horrific job done. I was there from 10:00am - 8:00pm mostly waiting on Henry who had chaos of clients all at once. More attention was given to clients who were well known rather than those who arrived first. Also with de tangling they are very impatient and RIP your hair from the scalp. David cut my hair, he was extremely inexperienced and chopped my hair literally in two minutes. Layers are done a layer at a time not chopped and blandly. The bleach was left too long causing my hair to dry and break. NEVER AGAIN. This is an ideal place if you are a good friend of theirs if you are a brand new customer they will destroy your hair.
My experience with all the staff at House of Dolls by Henry is nothing more than beyond exceptional. You are not just a client but you are a part of the Dolls Family.
I first came to the House of Dolls with a botched cut and hair color. They restored not just my hair but my confidence. I further my hair journey with the most beautiful Malaysian hair extensions.
It has been three years and I go nowhere else. No matter what. I come all the way from Jersey every two weeks. And I have now begun to bring my 10 yr old daughter; who sees Henry as the Hair God that he is.
You will receive nothing more than the best experience and welcoming feeling when you walk into the house of dolls.
Henry is an amazing stylist, person and he is true to who he is. The staff from the front desk to the washing station is friendly, warm and caring. You come here to unwind and leave looking like a movie star.
From his craft, to the salon’s vibe; to the coffee and the music; it is the only place to style and get your hair extensions.
I have had extensions prior to knowing about Henry and no one compares. You get what you pay for. So if you want the most glamorous, luxurious hair look no further.
I will continue to be a loyal customer of the House of Dolls by Henry. A true gem in the heights.
This salon is extremely overrated and unprofessional. Save your money and seek real professionals. I went in for a platinum blonde and left with extremely damaged, ash grey hair. My hair is terribly burnt and damaged from several bleaching sessions left for a hours at a time. My scalp was also severely burned. I am almost confident all of the 5 star reviews were posted by his very own friends and fake accounts. No one here has an excellent experience unless you are a bartender with thousands of followers; this appears to be the only crowd this salon caters to which is very evident [but news flash--- you need a village to keep your salon running!] Those women do not have to wait for the same amount of time as other women and I'm pretty sure they get affordable prices for mentions. The men who work here are extremely rude to regular clients and are not welcoming at all. Also, in 1 day I learned the business of so many of these women he caters to just off of conversations among himself and staff. Not professional and no one has time for that! save your coins.
After trying several salons over many years, this became my salon of choice for over five years now. They use quality products that have not changed my blonde hair (no matter if I go from a dirty blonde, to a grayish blonde) into that orange/yellow dewey color. All the other spots I have been to have eventually changed my hair into that awful orange/yellowish color. Henry and his personnel know what they are doing and have treated me with courtesy and the attention I love. They’re always making sure one is comfortable. Yes, the process to do ones hair will require time, but logically so. There are plenty of clients who love his service. Quality beauty costs, duh.
I asked for ash for an ombre ash blonde like the right, 2 weeks later he gives me a full orange blonde on the left. Had to give to someone else to fix it.
Just to give you a brief history of may hair, I use to dye my hair all kind of colors, I went from bleach blonde, red, blk, back to blonde using boxes dye and bleach powder. I’ve done so much damage that I decide to go to this place called The House of Dolls in 2015, when I came to this place I had red hair. I wanted to dye my hair sterling silver grey, but Henry was very honest and told me that I would be doing to much process to my hair in one day and that it will take several visits to reach my hair goal. I was a bit disappointed but I trusted in him. Although i didnt leave with my hair grey i was very content with my color... they recommend that I use the sterling silver purple shampoo, which i had purchased at the location . Every single wash and blow I started to see my hair color change (in a good way) that I no longer wanted the sterling grey color. I went back to The House of Dolls and I decided to do a balayage and cut my hair which Henry wasnt excited about but I wanted a change. Ha! After that I made yet another visit to go blonder and I added more highlights. Today I decide to change because summer is almost over and if I can’t keep up with my tan I’ll feel like I will look pale lol. Showed Henry what look I wanted and Henry went above and beyond my expectations.
