Quick Facts About Top Nails and Spa
Top Nails and Spa seems to have both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Here is an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the salon:
Strengths:
1. Excellent service: Many customers praise the service at Top Nails and Spa, mentioning that they were not rushed and that their technicians did a fantastic job. The salon seems to prioritize providing a positive and attentive experience for their customers.
2. Hidden gem: One comment describes Top Nails and Spa as a hidden gem, indicating that it may not be widely known or advertised, but it offers high-quality nail services. This suggests that the salon provides a unique and enjoyable experience that sets it apart from other nail salons.
3. Clean environment: Several comments mention the salon's cleanliness, which is an important factor for customers when choosing a nail salon. A clean environment can enhance the overall experience and give customers peace of mind about the hygiene standards.
4. Welcoming staff: The manager at the front desk is mentioned as welcoming and kind, creating a positive first impression for customers. Friendly staff can contribute to a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent quality: One customer's experience with a rushed and unsatisfactory manicure highlights a potential weakness in the quality of service at Top Nails and Spa. While most comments praise the service, this negative experience raises concerns about the consistency of the salon's work.
2. Short-lasting manicure: Another customer complains about their dip manicure chipping and cracking within two weeks, which is not ideal as dip manicures are expected to last significantly longer. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the application technique or product quality.
3. Limited skills of some technicians: Several negative comments mention specific technicians who provided subpar services. Complaints range from rude behavior to poor design skills, which can be disappointing for customers seeking a professional and satisfying nail service.
4. Lack of certain amenities: One customer mentions missing chair massages that are offered at other salons. This suggests that Top Nails and Spa may not provide a comprehensive range of amenities compared to their competitors, potentially limiting the overall spa experience.
In conclusion, Top Nails and Spa has strengths in terms of excellent service, being a hidden gem, maintaining a clean environment, and having welcoming staff. However, weaknesses include inconsistent quality, a short-lasting manicure, limited skills of some technicians, and a lack of certain amenities. These strengths and weaknesses should be considered when evaluating the overall appeal of Top Nails and Spa.

The photos seriously don't do this polish any justice, but I digress. I went here for my birthday on June 4th and service was amazing as usual. I wasn't rushed along and the person who did my nails did a fantastic job! This place is a hidden gem and I definitely won't be going anywhere else for my nails. Y'all got a loyal customer for life!
If y'all wanna try a new polish color and you like gel polish, this one's a blue/purple cat's eye polish. It comes in other colors, but this one is my absolute fave. ????
I wanted to say Thank you FAYE for doing such a amazing job. Not 1 flaw. I really appreciate the service. She took her time and was careful and kind. ????????????
I've been coming here off and on for a few months now. Place is clean, I really enjoy the spa pedicures. The manager up front is welcoming and kind.
I was only there a week ago to get a manicure and had to come back.. I did have a woman "Angela" she did infact rush my nails and it showed.
But today having Faye as my technician, I will definitely request her work from now on.
Thank you kindly♡
I hate to report this here first as opposed to the business directly, but I won’t be in town for another 2-3 weeks for it to be made right anyway, unfortunately. It’s been less than 2 weeks, and my dip manicure is already chipping, and has been cracking since day 2. That means it wasn’t done correctly. The price was great ($35) but ultimately it worth it since the point of dip is that it lasts significantly longer than a traditional manicure (3-6 weeks compared to 5-7 days). I’d be willing to give them another chance if it was just an off day. I also wish the would bring back their chair massages since all other salons I go to (in nyc even, which was arguably hardest hit) has had it back for the past 1.5 years.
Despite the low review I want to say that I do enjoy getting my nails done here and will continue to get my nails done here, but I will no longer be a walk in anymore. I tend to be a regular walk in just because my weekend schedule changes so much and I never want to screw over a stylist who could've filled my slot with another customer. I recommend any nail tech there EXCEPT May. I have never had a bad experience there, until today. I walked in with longish almond shaped nails looking to get an acrylic refill and gel polish, asked if I could get them filed into a coffin shape, was originally told no due to the fact that my nails were already shaped to a point. I asked if the tip could just be slighting cut off a bit to make them coffin shaped since it's been done for me there before. She said that she'd do her best, cut my nails done really short (took off 3/4 of what was there) and said "I can do square." since they were now too short to make coffin shaped. I despise square nails, if I knew she was going to pull that I would've just stuck with the almond shape my nails were already in. She did end up agreeing to file the sides a bit though. While filing my nails done she tried talking me out of my decisions by saying "are you sure you want coffin shape honey?" Throughout doing my nails she was huffy and kept sliding the nail file and the drill file over my skin. She also ended up throwing one of the brushes at me and just laughed it off, didn't even bother apologizing, she just said "that's funny". At the end she offered a wax dip for my hands which I took, which was a mistake. After dipping my hand in there five times she said it wasn't enough and started dipping and holding my hand in the wax herself, so many times that it started to burn. I have never not tipped the tech at least at least a ten, but I could not bring myself to tip that woman. I don't know if she just had a bad day but I'm gonna try my best to make sure I never have her do my nails again. Do not have May do your nails.
Great atmosphere and service. Decent prices. Most of all, it’s clean, which is what I look for when choosing a nails salon. A huge gratitude to the owner who found my engagement ring and kept it safe until I picked it up. Visit if you are looking for honest service.
I have been coming here for years now and I always found the staff to be very friendly and I always make an appointment first. I found the 2 best women are Annie and Winnie. But I usually take anyone for my pedicures. The place is clean and the best nail place that I have ever gone to.
I’ve been here for the 3rd and last time today. My experience was horrible with nail tech Rachel . I came in for simple gel polish change on my hands and toes the man in the front is nice everytime I come in he was actually one of the reasons I came back He greets you at the door and explains pricing and is extremely professional however my tech was disgustingly rude and unprofessional, from the jump she didn’t greet me then she put the foil on my nails to get the gel off then said “go over there” (in a nasty tone) I responded “Where?” She then rudely pointed toward the back where the pedi chairs were. She had a nasty attitude the whole time and did a terrible job she left polish on my skin and around my cuticles and even my knuckles it looked like a child did my nails. Extremely unacceptable then when it was time to pay she expected a tip and I put a big fat ZERO. Because the only tip I have for her is to treat customers with respect !!! I won’t be back.
Ok so I used to come here probably 10 years ago then I stopped getting my nails done and I think I see why now besides the money and keeping up on it , I keep getting the same woman who isn't really that great at designs and I dont want any color so I guess I will continue to do my own designs
