I went there to get the African Pride Children’s leave in conditioner. Some of the same tubs are priced higher, and they have tape on the outside of them. Which was kind of a red flag but sure enough, the product is not the same as the original. It’s a different consistency, smells nasty and leaves my kids hair like straw.
Embracing my natural hair with my grey. Hard to find the interlock and braiding hair in a 44...the color tone of my hair. This is the place to go..Grace has all your needs at great prices..helpful staff and now I don't have to drive all over the city to find what I want. Centrally located from where I live in Camby In.
I stand corrected, because Indiana DOESN'T have a law that shop owners honor the price on a product. The clerk tore off the wrong price at the register, and wanted to charge me the higher price. The "manager," attempted to blame the customer (me) for putting the wrong price tag on the color, wasted time trying to find that I did so on the "security camera," and refused to give me his name, because I was going to verify (what I thought was the law)! Nonetheless, since the Asian owner and the Latina(?) clerk who took the lower price tag off at the register would rather resort to this ill treatment of a customer- it's apparent they don't want Black/Brown business- even though I'm more than certain at least 80-90% does come from us. When a business would rather resort to trying to falsely accuse a customer for their mistake, especially a Black woman, (yet you want Black dollars), I'll just say shame on you and I hope you'll learn to be more human.
I'm certain you don't mind that you've lost my business, but ****I'm posting this because after your outrageous behaviour today, I wouldn't be surprised if you tried to lie and put on your security cameras that I tried to steal, or some other reason in the hopes that you can use law enforcement to hurt, embarrass or harm me/people who look like me by making false allegations- on purpose????****
1) I didn't put the wrong/ANY sticker on the color, 2)didn't make a purchase, 3)left peacefully, and
4)I will no longer support nor send clients to support Grace Beauty Supply any more- ESPECIALLY customers of color. This was all over an .80 difference, btw.????
Words can't express how awesome they are. This is my main beauty supply store. They are amazing and very helpful. The store is neat and structured. It has a wide variety of items and hair and I love that someone is always able to assist and they are also Christian store. Love the music.
Good location, multiple hair and jewelry items. Owners need to stop looking at everyone life thieves, put security barriers in place and recognize us as loyal customers who will not only come back for the product, but great, ongoing customer service. Your business is mostly frequented by minorities, but please treat us with respect & courtesy.
My sister just went to this store for the first time earlier today and told me she was followed around the store by one of the employees. When she went to go check out the cashier accused her of stealing and asked to check inside her baby's carrier to see if she was concealing anything. I was extremely furious when i found this out and told her not to go back there. Racial profiling is completely unacceptable and I will be speaking with a lawyer soon to take action about this.

Poor service and rude owners/managers are what you encounter at Grace Beauty. Please go to BJ's instead. Selection and employees are much better. I decided years ago never to shop at Grace. A good Boycott of this store is what is needed
