Quick Facts About Louis' Barber Shop

Louis' Barber Shop has several strengths that make it a popular choice for many customers. Firstly, customers appreciate the speed and efficiency of the service. Multiple comments mention that they were able to get in and out quickly without needing to make an appointment. This convenience is highly valued by busy individuals who may not have the time to book in advance or wait for long periods. Additionally, the reasonable pricing is another strength of the barber shop. Many customers feel that they are getting good value for the price they pay, especially considering the quality of the haircut they receive.
Another strength of Louis' Barber Shop is the skill and expertise of the barbers. Customers praise the quality of their haircuts, stating that they were happy with the end result. The barbers are experienced and capable of delivering a variety of styles, including fades and hard parts. This level of proficiency ensures that customers leave satisfied with their haircut and are likely to return for future services.
The friendly and professional service is also highlighted as a strength of Louis' Barber Shop. Customers mention that they felt comfortable and well taken care of during their visit. The barbers have a way of making even young children feel comfortable and cooperative, which is appreciated by parents.
The welcoming atmosphere of the shop is also noted positively. Although it may not be fancy or modern, the shop has a charming and cozy vibe. This adds to the overall experience and helps customers feel at ease during their visit. Furthermore, the fact that the barber shop is family-owned is seen as a strength by some customers, as it adds a personal touch and a sense of trustworthiness.
Despite these strengths, there are also some weaknesses associated with Louis' Barber Shop. One recurring complaint is the barbers being on the phone during haircuts. This can be seen as unprofessional and disrespectful to the customer. It is important for barbers to fully focus on their clients and provide undivided attention. Another weakness mentioned is the lack of attention to detail and precision in certain cases. While many customers have had positive experiences, there are also a few instances where customers have received uneven or unsatisfactory haircuts. This inconsistency in the quality of service can be a drawback for some potential customers who prioritize precision and attention to detail.
In conclusion, Louis' Barber Shop has several strengths that make it a favored choice among customers. The speed and efficiency of the service, reasonable pricing, skillful barbers, friendly atmosphere, and family-owned nature of the shop contribute to its appeal. However, there are also weaknesses associated with the shop, such as barbers being on the phone during haircuts and occasional lapses in attention to detail. Overall, Louis' Barber Shop offers a positive experience for many customers, but it may not be the best fit for those seeking extreme precision or a distraction-free environment.

Loved my haircut. Got in and out quickly. Did not have to make appointment. Couple of people arrived after me. Good price for the value. Made sure I was happy with the different stages of the hair cut. Only thing I did not like is that barber was on the phone when I arrived and decided to continue being on the phone (on hold) while I was getting hair cut. Will come back as my hair looks great and value is good.
great and speedy service, extremely reasonable pricing, i got my hair cut here by Tom right before a date, showed up filled with total confidence and it went amazing. this is my new go to!
Awesome, family owned barber shop in the North End. Did a phenomenal job for me, and I intend for Louis' Barber Shop to be the only place I go to get a haircut. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Mr. Lou has styled both of my grandsons now. He has a way with barber newbies. He had quite a selection of books and mentions reward candy early in the game! As wiggly as my boys are, when Mr. Lou holds their heads they mold to his will without a whimper. They were so under his spell that it shocked them when he used the hair dryer to blow away the fairy dust! Maybe he could warn them a bit.
Mr. Lou gave each of them a great "fade" and one of them a "hard part." Parents and YaYa were completely pleased with results. He charged only $14 and it took maybe 30 min. All in all, this is the place to go!

Lou and his son Tommy run a first class barber shop. Both know how to give a good, even, quick cut at a good price ($13). They rarely have a wait and, if they do, it’s not long. The shop itself is not fancy but it is an old space that has a lot of charm. I tried a few places when I first moved to Tacoma before setting on Lou’s.
I asked for a trim, #3 on the sides. I did not have a GI haircut before I went in, yet 10 minutes later walked out looking high and tight. Worst haircut of my life. Had to have a hairdresser at-least even out from one side to the other after
Got my haircut here today. Louis is a super nice guy and been doing it here for 24+ years. Love supporting businesses like this. Also, the haircut was great and the Convo pretty good.
New barber for me and will be going back for sure.
Unbelievable. All the reviews mention a crew cut or buzz cut, but if you care about your hair enough to style it, SKIP THIS LOCATION! I love to support a local buisness, and I’m sure for a quick buzz this is a good spot, but I have never received a less attentive haircut. I felt like I was being mauled by the clippers. My hair is not blended, different lengths all over the top. No measurements were taken and when I asked how much two inches would be for reference the replay was literally “I don’t know”. The $20 I paid for this chop is highway robbery. Again, for a buzz and in a pinch it’ll be a great location, anything else keep looking.
